| The summer program started in the early 1970s at Kent State University by J. Charles Walker and Armin Hofmann. The five week workshop features internationally recognized designers and artist. Each instructor teaches for one week in the school house in Brissago on Lake Maggiore. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet interesting people, enjoy Switzerland, and develop your design skills from an incredible staff. |

Program The intensive five-week residential program provides a structured cirriculum of theoretical studies and practical exercises dealing with various aspects of graphic design. Included are visual semantics, three-dimensional design, typography, color, poster design, and drawing. All classes are conducted in English. Studio courses are augmented by evening lectures and excursions to places af art and architectural significance in Switzerland, Italy, and France. Time is devoted to a photographic documentation of local historical architectural details.
