Step one. Guitar kit arrives from Carvin Guitar. All materials are included except your choice of finishing materials. I decided to uses tung oil because the swamp ash has a nice figure.
Step two. Apply tung oil. I used a new one inch brush. I applied 2 coats the first day and 2 coats the second day. Thereafter, a few more coats until I got the finish to where I was happy. Finally, I used 0000 grade steel wool on the top and bottom to get a satin finish. Old English furniture oil is used to give a smooth sexy feel according to Carvin.
